Ground mounted solar PV systems are the easiest to install and maintain. A support frame is constructed out of galvanized steel or stainless steel beams and anchored into the ground with concrete.

A significant advantage of these systems is optimal energy production; they can be positioned and aligned for maximum exposure to sunlight. However, the additional materials and labor yield a slight increase in price, and some municipalities will require you to seek “accessory structures” zoning approval.
