Augusta Ground Mount PV Sytem

This 64 panel, 15.04 kW Solar PV system was installed in a field on Plains road in Augusta, NJ. If you are looking for it, good luck, as the system is just over the crest of a hill to keep the system from impinging on the beautiful view this client has. The system was built utilizing Enphase micro-inverters to maximize production of the system. With the assistance of ECAE, this client was successful in obtaining a 10-year contract with JCP&L for the SRECs the system generates. The contract rate is nearly four times the current market rate for SRECs.

Lafayette Mountain-Top Ground Mount Solar Array

Utilizing Enphase micro-inverters and Siliken Solar Modules, this array will offset nearly 100% of current utility bills. In case more juice is needed in the future, the racking was over-sized to accommodate additional panels. Incorporating micro-inverters into the design with extra places open on the trunk cables will allow the system to be upgraded in the future with ease.

Solar Lease on Historic Sparta, NJ Barn

Who says an old structure can’t hold the weight of a solar installation? Certainly not the Architect and Engineer that owns this beautiful old barn on Demarest Road in Sparta, NJ! The corrugated metal roof was a great surface to mount the rails and Siemens Micro-Inverters to. The 64 Solar Modules provide nearly 17,000 kilowatt hours per year which will offset 85% of their current utility bill.

Considering the customer chose to install this project as a NJ Clean Energy Ventures Sunlight Advantage® Solar Lease, there was no outlay of cash or requirement to meet a credit score. A few months after the project has been installed, the customer begins to receive an invoice for the power the system produces at a low fixed rate that will not escalate for the lease term. Based on the orientation of the site, this client is paying the equivalent of 9.9 cents per kilowatt hour for the power that the system produces.

This installation overlooking Kemah Lake did not require any cash outlay or credit score from the homeowner! This was our first completed installation utilizing our channel partner, NJ Clean Energy Venture’s Sunlight Advantage® Solar Lease. After an evaluation of the client’s roof and their utility bills, she signed the lease and we installed 25 Trina Solar panels with Seimens Microinverters underneath each panel. This installation will cut at least 35% off the client’s energy costs, and as utility rates rise, the lease rate stays the same for the 15 year term of the lease, resulting in even greater savings in the future. The homeowner also has no worries regarding upkeep of the system, as the leasing company is responsible for all repairs and maintenance.

First United Methodist Church of Newton Solar

When John Iliff announced Sunday that the lights in the First United Methodist Church were “powered by God-given solar,” the congregation cheered. They were pleased to hear that the Methodist church was reducing its carbon footprint and saving money along the way, said Iliff, a church trustee and chairman. ”We will be leaving a very small carbon footprint in the world for the next 25 years,” Iliff said. “And, financially it is a big help to our budget.”

The church installed 208 panels on the back side of the building. These panels will produce 63,000 kilowatt hours of solar energy annually, Iliff said. This means that the church’s annual electric bill of $18,000 will be reduced to about $5,000, said another trustee, Jerry Tavolaro. This solar power is expected to take care of 65 percent of the building’s needs, which include a church and day care programs.
